Hi, I’m Laura! Welcome to House of Springs!
Let’s face it, life dishes out some really dry seasons, and many times we find ourselves craving even just a drop of refreshment. In Isaiah 58:11 it says that the Lord will “satisfy your desire in scorched places…you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” It’s my desire to wholeheartedly pursue after this refreshment, to enjoy each and every bit of beauty in this life God has given us. Come and join me as we pour life into all things home!
About Me
I grew up in northwestern Louisiana in a very small town (a village, actually!) where large bales of hay, herds of cattle, and big, beautiful sunsets abide. As high school marked its end, I found myself over in my second home, the state of Texas. There, I spent the beginnings of my adulthood pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music. In 2015, I left the States and headed to India to stay for a few months, where I was immersed in an eye-opening new cultural experience. Not long after arriving in India, I met a man who would eventually become my husband. In 2019, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life–I married my fiance and shifted my life over to what would become my new home in India. With drastic cultural differences and a vastly different worldview, there have definitely been a plethora of ups and downs. Yet, each day, I seek to build up a foundation of light and truth that I pray our beautiful daughter (and future children) will come to cherish as each day passes.
